Just recently there was a phone call to the surgery. A new client phoned and spoke to one of the receptionists. He asked the receptionist, ‘Why should I come to your practice?’. The receptionist answered, “Because we are the best’. Automatically the gentleman enquired, “ But, why are you the best”. Initially the receptionist really struggled. She paused and then said, “ We are the best here because everybody cares. The nurse and the vets, the receptionists all work as a team. I’ve never worked anywhere where the team gets on so well and the patients are always put first.”
Quite possibly one of the hardest questions to answer when put on the spot. The client joined us. The receptionist knows who she is, a little force majeur.
