Our services during COVID-19

We are complying with the government’s guidance on the management of risk during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are here to ease any worries, stresses or anxiety you may have regarding your pet during this time. We have put measures in place in the surgery to ensure the safety of staff, clients and pets, and we are able to consult remotely via various video channels such as Zoom and WhatsApp. Please click the links below to see our ‘Five Steps for Safer Working’ and our COVID-19 surgery risk assessment.

Safer Working

Risk Assessment

During the COVID-19 pandemic and with all Veterinary practices following government guidelines by only doing essential treatments. We have come up with another way we can connect with our clients and check up on their animals. This is through video consultations via Zoom, Whatsapp and Vet help direct. We have already connected with a huge amount of people and their pets, even people who aren’t registered with us. We are providing veterinary advice to Lytham St Annes, Blackpool, Preston and other places over Lancashire. Here at The Veterinary Health Centre, we have extensive knowledge within the exotic and avian sector, this has meant a lot of people who seek advice within this sector have come to us for professional veterinary guidance and prescriptions.

Whether you are already a client or not we are happy to book you in for a video consult. You don’t need to even be within the Lancashire area, as we are happy to offer guidance and advice to people all over. All you need to do is either contact the surgery direct on 01253 729309 to book in or alternatively go direct to the Vet help direct website, register your animal and connect with us that way. Both ways work brilliantly and mean your animal can be seen by a Vet who will discuss all the options with you.

Our Surgery

The Veterinary Health Centre was acquired in 1995 by Mrs Siuna Ann Reid. Since this time, the practice has continued to grow and develop into one of the leading veterinary surgeries in the North West. We remain an independent surgery and are not part of a conglomerate.

The Veterinary Health Centre has a dedicated team of staff, all striving to provide a professional and complete range of services to keep your pet healthy and happy. We take pride in the knowledge that we have a great range of modern and sophisticated equipment.
